Our Safety Procedures

  • The resort has developed enhanced standards, training, and protocols resort-wide in partnership with cleaning industry expert Ecolab.
  • Hand sanitization stations are located throughout the property. Hand sanitizer, disposable masks, and gloves will be available by request.
  • All associates have undergone extensive health and safety training related to our enhanced standards of care promise.
  • Any person entering the Resort will have their temperature thermally scanned before entry.
  • Daily housekeeping service is suspended. Guestrooms will also remain vacant for an extended period following guest checkout.
  • At this time, the Kids Club remains closed.
  • The Tienda (General Store) will limit guest access to allow for proper distancing. All persons must wear a mask when entering.

This industry-wide initiative was developed under the guidance of its Advisory Council, comprised of industry leaders representing all segments of the hotel industry, and in conjunction with Secretaría Federal de Salud, Servicios de Salud del Estado de Oaxaca, and public health experts to advance best practices for protecting against the coronavirus.

Arrivals and Departures

Guest arrivals will be spaced apart, and check-in will be expedited to accommodate minimal contact. Marked locations for queuing have also been installed at the check-in desk. Guests will receive a final bill via email prior to departure, so it will not be necessary to visit the Front Desk to complete check-out. Self-parking is available for all guests, and the Guest Services team may be reached by phone for additional assistance. The bell staff will wear gloves and masks when delivering all luggage. Bellmen will not accompany guests in the elevators. Baggage will then be delivered to the room entrance and wiped down with sanitizing wipes. Luggage carts are then sanitized after each use. We also ask that only related parties ride in an elevator at any one time.

Dining

Dining offerings for pickup/carry out will be available at select restaurants. Dining rooms will be opened when the governmental restrictions are lifted, but the number of guests at any one time may be limited. Self-serve buffets and condiments are suspended. All food is served by team member associates. Menus are also single-use or sanitized after each use. All surfaces will be sanitized in between guest seating, and with increased regularity at other times.

    Reservations for pool chairs and use may be limited based on reduced capacity and distancing requirements. Pool seating has been adjusted to allow six feet between guests, and we are now offering pool side service with beer and wine.
