Do you have a location to hold events?

Yes! Our dedicated event venue, Large Palapa, has an excellent view of the surroundings with a capacity for 180 people depending on the setting. This venue can also accommodate meals to be offered for an extra cost. Please note, Large Palapa is an outdoor venue with a tropical thatched roof.

I am interested in hosting a wedding at your property, who should I contact?

Vivo Resorts can host weddings up to 180 people. We have a beautiful outdoor venue, Large Palapa. Please contact Fara Fara - Director of Sales at fara@vivoresorts.com.

How can I go see the bioluminescence?

For the best possible experience, it is recommended to sign up for a tour with one of our authorized tour agencies. The tours will provide transportation to and from the Resort.

What tours do you recommend?

We recommend the bioluminescent lagoon tour, as it is the most requested by our guests.

Which beach should I visit while in Puerto Escondido?

We recommend Carrizalillo Beach, since it is small and safe for swimming. Beginning surf classes are also available! Carrizalillo Beach is 4 miles away. The Resort does not provide transportation but taxis are available to hire.

Can I swim in the ocean?

Vivo Resorts is located at the foot of Palmarito Beach. Swimming or surfing is not recommend due to the strong currents, even for experienced swimmers.

Is there a taxi site outside the Resort?

There are no taxis outside, but can be requested at reception from the nearest taxi site, requested 15 minutes in advance.

Do you provide transportation to downtown Puerto Escondido?

Yes! Puerto Escondido is approximately 25 min from Vivo Resort. We offer a shuttle that runs daily. It leaves the resort at 11am and returns at 4pm. The cost is $75 MXN per person (approximately $4 USD).

The Resort can also arrange a car for 4 people or a van for 8 people. The fee is $350 MXN (approximately $18 USD) for a car each way, or $565 MXN (approximately $30 USD) for a van each way.

Can I rent a car?

Yes, with a third party provider.

How far away is the Resort from Puerto Escondido Domestic Airport (PXM)? Do you provide transportation services?

Vivo Resort is 3 miles from PXM airport. The Resort does not provide a shuttle to and from the airport. You can arrange an airport transfer by contacting +52 (954) 582-0271. A van is $565 MXN (approximately $29 USD) each way.

How far away is the Resort from Huatulco International Airport (HUX)? Do you provide transportation services?

Vivo Resort is 80 miles from HUX airport. The Resort does not provide a shuttle to and from the airport. You can arrange an airport transfer by contacting +52 (954) 582-0271. A van is $2,300 MXN (approximately $120 USD) each way.

Does the price of accommodations include airport transfers?

No, the transfer costs are as follows: For a mini van suitable for 1 to 6 people, $565 pesos from Puerto Escondido Domestic Airport to Vivo and $2,300 pesos (approximately $120 USD) from Huatulco International Airport to Vivo.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, credit or debit cards (MasterCard, Visa, and American Express).

What is the minimum age to check-in for reservations?

The minimum age is 18 years old.

Is there an early departure fee?

If you choose to depart early during your stay there is a minimum $50 penalty that may increase up to 1 nights room and tax.

Do you provide cribs or pack-n-plays?

We currently provide cribs, based on availability.

Do you have rollaway beds?

No, we do not provide rollaway beds.

Do you have connecting rooms?

No, we do not have connecting rooms.

Do you have ADA Accessible rooms?

All of our rooms are ADA Accessible.

Can I request a late check-out?

Yes, depending on availability.

Can I request an early check-in?

Yes, if available. We do guarantee early check-in as a purchasable add-on feature for selected dates. Please contact +52 (954) 582-0271 to inquire.

Do you have a smoking area?

While there are designated smoking areas within the complex facilities, smoking is not permitted inside the condominiums, restaurants, or common areas.

Is breakfast included?

Depending on your reservation and meal plan selected, breakfast is not included. If you would like to enjoy breakfast, the All-Inclusive plan can be added to your experience at an extra cost.

Is the Resort all-inclusive?

Vivo Resorts has a purchasable add-on for both adults and children in order to have an all-inclusive option.

Adults: $75 USD plus tax per day*

Children: $35 USD plus tax per day

*Upgraded liquor pricing is available

Are there on-site restaurants?

We have 2 restaurants:

Ernesto's, open daily 7 AM - 11 PM

Coco Thai, open daily 1 PM - 7 PM

Do you have a spa or salon?

Yes, our spa is open from 9 AM to 6 PM depending on the season.

Do you have a kids club or babysitting services?

Our kids club is open from 9 AM to 5 PM. We currently do not offer babysitting services.

Are there pool lifeguards?

Our lifeguards are on duty from 9 AM to 7:30 PM.

Do you have a pool?

Yes, we have 2 family pools and 1 adults-only pool.

Do you have a hot tub?

Yes, there is a hot tub located in the Spa Area (added cost per person).

Do you have a fitness center?

Yes, the fitness center is open from 7 AM - 11 PM daily.

Do you charge for parking?

We currently only offer self-parking at no charge.

Is Vivo a pet friendly Resort?

We are not a pet friendly Resort, with the exception of certified service animals. In order to allow entry for service dogs, guests must provide an authorized medical letter as well as cover the one-time $100 USD room cleaning fee per stay.

What are the pool hours?

The pool is open 9 AM - 7:30 PM.

What time is check-in/check-out?

Check-In: 3 PM

Check-Out: 11 AM
